Road traffic safety – the peace of our lives
The month-long campaign “Road traffic safety – the peace of our lives”, held on a large scale in our country every September, is met with great responsibility. In this area, planned and comprehensive measures are being implemented in the country.
Road traffic is a complex system in which road conditions, vehicles, pedestrian flows and the environment operate in interconnection.
Improving road traffic safety is one of the priorities of state policy. The month-long campaign, which has become a fine tradition since September 2013, is aimed at preventing road traffic accidents and protecting the health of our citizens.
During the month-long campaign, special programmes, round-table discussions, awareness-raising meetings, articles and video clips are prepared in the mass media and brought to the general public. In addition, the Lebap regional, city and district Councils of the Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan organise creative competitions among young people in connection with the campaign's motto, as well as various games for the little ones brought up in educational institutions. All this is part of the efforts made for the rising young generation. This is because ensuring that people live a happy life in our Motherland, a land of peace and prosperity, is considered one of the priorities of state policy.
