Awareness-raising meeting “The book is the source of knowledge” held
Recently, an awareness-raising meeting entitled “The book is the source of knowledge” was held at the central library of Darganata district, jointly organised by the Darganata district Council of the Lebap regional branch of the Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan, the Darganata district department of education and public organisations, with the aim of bringing up young generations in a spirit of patriotism, encouraging them to receive high-quality education, to engage in creative work and sport, and to fully reveal their abilities.
Speakers at the meeting firmly emphasised that the book is an incomparable treasure and a unique invention of humankind, spoke of the place the book occupies in human life, and noted that it has the power to shape a person's morals, broaden their outlook and horizons and sharpen their talents. They also spoke about the great importance of fostering a love of books and reading among young people in bringing them up as patriotic people of pure morals, high humanity, high spirits, broad outlook, knowledge and education, and noted that the use of modern working methods and digital technologies in our country's libraries makes it possible to further improve library services.
At the end of our discussion, the participants sincerely wished good health and long life to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero Arkadag, and our Hero Arkadagly Serdar, who are developing science and education to world standards and creating favourable conditions for creative work in modern libraries, and success in their large-scale undertakings.
