New gas well commissioned in Lebap region
The “Lebapgazchykarysh” directorate has commissioned the new gas well “Hazarly-2”, drilled by specialists of the “Marynebitgazgozleg” expedition of the “Turkmengeologiya” state corporation. The well is located at the Hazarly site near the Bowrideshik gas field and became the first well at this site to begin commercial production. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The daily output of the well is 120,000 cubic metres of natural gas.
According to the results of 11 months of this year, the directorate's workforce fulfilled the production plan by more than 101 per cent, producing 8.516 billion cubic metres of gas. By the end of the year it is planned to bring this figure to 9.3 billion cubic metres. As an additional result, 28,039 tonnes of associated gas condensate were obtained, 2,235 tonnes more than planned.
The increase in gas production also ensured an increase in exports: the export volume exceeded the plan by almost 41 per cent, which means that an additional 1.38 billion cubic metres of gas were supplied to foreign consumers. Since the beginning of the year, the directorate's gas workers have extracted 20.908 billion cubic metres of hydrocarbon raw materials from underground.
