The President of Turkmenistan attended the foundation-laying ceremony of a mineral fertiliser production complex at the chemical plant in Turkmenabat
Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the foundation-laying ceremony of a mineral fertiliser production complex at the S.A. Niyazov chemical plant in the city of Turkmenabat. This was reported by TDH (State News Agency of Turkmenistan).
At the Turkmenabat International Airport, the President of Turkmenistan was warmly welcomed by the Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and the governor (hakim) of Lebap region.
The Head of State then proceeded to the venue of the ceremony.
After watching the musical performances organised on the occasion of the ceremony, the President of Turkmenistan went to a specially arranged meeting hall and delivered a congratulatory speech there.
The Head of State sincerely congratulated the participants of the foundation-laying ceremony of the mineral fertiliser production complex at the Niyazov chemical plant in Turkmenabat, Lebap region, on this joyful event and noted that the chemical industry is one of the important sectors of the economy.
As was emphasised, the project of the new mineral fertiliser production complex at the Niyazov chemical plant of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern will be implemented by the company «Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd» of the Republic of Korea. The new complex will produce 350 thousand tonnes of superphosphate and 100 thousand tonnes of ammonium sulphate per year.
Once put into operation, the complex will make it possible to significantly increase the capacity of the country’s chemical industry.
